More signs of progress! New York Times article on vegetarian Thanksgiving meals. But let's be honest -- having cauliflower as your centerpiece isn't the way to win over meat-eaters.
Interesting story -- many, many years ago, we served several non-vegetarian families both a Tofurky Roast as well as homemade seitan with gravy. Everyone preferred the seitan. But last year, we did the same, and people loved the Tofurky! It has clearly improved a lot over the years -- if you haven't had one in a while, give it a try! But I have always been a huge fan of the Tofurky Deli slices! After I had my first taste, I emailed a friend and said, "Stop whatever you're doing and go to the co-op and get these new Tofurky slices! Right now!" He wrote back in less than an hour, "How do they do that??"
