We recently ran this Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe in our Enewsletter, and got feedback from Gary that the cookies were bland.
He had made them partially with whole-wheat flour, as stated you can do in the print version of the Guide. But I'll be honest -- the cookies taste much better without any whole-wheat flour.
Another option we generally follow is to use almond milk instead of water. (You can obviously use soy or another type of vegan milk.) And be sure to have enough chocolate chips!
